Questions about Web

What affects the timeline and cost of a custom web application?

Both come down to the same factors: the number of user roles and workflows, the integrations involved, design complexity, and requirements such as multi-tenancy, audit logs or offline support. A focused internal tool or marketing site can often launch within one to two months, while a SaaS platform with billing, permissions and integrations usually needs several months to reach its first production release. After discovery we provide a phased scope and estimate, so a usable release ships early and later phases can be reprioritized as you learn.

Who owns the code and infrastructure when the project is finished?

You do. The source code, designs, documentation and cloud accounts belong to your business, and we work in repositories and environments you have admin access to from day one. Open-source libraries stay under their own licenses, which we document. There is no lock-in: you can keep working with us, bring development in-house or hand the codebase to another team.

Do you provide maintenance and support after launch?

Yes. Our monthly support plans cover dependency and security updates, uptime monitoring, bug fixes and an agreed block of time for improvements. If you have an in-house team, we can run a structured handover instead, with documentation, walkthroughs and a period of shared ownership. Either way, the codebase is set up so it never depends on us to keep running.

Should we rebuild our existing application or improve what we have?

Rebuilding is rarely the first answer. We start with a technical review of the codebase, architecture, test coverage and hosting to find where the real problems are, and if the foundations are sound, targeted refactoring and performance work is usually faster and less risky. A rebuild makes sense when the stack is unsupported, security issues are structural, or every new feature costs more than the last. Even then, we plan an incremental migration wherever possible so the business keeps running.
